A BETTER .470 CONVERTED BOXLOCK PERCUSSION MUFF PISTOL SIGNED BLANKS, no visible serial number, circa 1800 flintlock converted to percussion circa 1830s, with 1 3/4 in. turn-off steel barrel, brass lock engraved with scroll-work both sides, with 'BLANKS' to one side and 'ROCHFORD' over, border engraved steel hammer, Birmingham proof marks, sliding safety, drop-down trigger, chequered walnut grip with square white metal escutcheon engraved with a belt containing a 'N', white metal lion-head butt-cap, actions correctly with strong spring on half and full cock, 6 1/2 in. overall
